"This shows up much better in this snap than it does in reality. This is a Greene County 23B trailblazer west of junction 21 on the Thruway, one minor problem here, is that when you encounter this sign, you're ON Greene County 23B. Note that the "TO" plate is a recycled parking sign." - C.C. Slater via web site.

"And here they are in full top ho and spiffing glory, the justly famous brown/gold county shields as talked about on MTR and the Highway Extravaganza. This is a NYSDOT installation. The actual Greene County signs are standard." - C.C. Slater via web site.

"Old Greene County Signs. I found these two years ago on a STOP sign in Greenville Center-about 2 miles south of NY 81, while loading a hospital bed at somebody's house. You'll note that the black copy is embossed, ad the rend numbers are stickies-It looks like the second sign might've had an even older number. The far left sign is more contemmporary, but it, too shows signs of age-notably the faded lettering. The quality control on the blank cutting doesn't look too hot either..." - C.C. Slater via web site.
