"White-on-blue Orange County diamond shield as seen on Orange CR 20 (Orrs Mills Rd.) at NY 94 in Salisbury Mills.  This is the newer variety of diamond shields in Orange County."  Taken December 24, 2004 by Doug Kerr.  Thank you!

"An older variety of the Orange County diamond shield, as seen on Orange CR 74 just west of US 9W in New Windsor."  Taken August 30, 2003 by Doug Kerr.  Thank you!

"Welcome to Helvetica Hell!  This shoddy wannabe of a pentagon shield is what Orange County has been popping out more recently. This demented fella of an Orange CR 101 shield is found on Orange CR 101 northbound just north of NY 211 near Scotchtown."  Taken July 18, 2004 by Doug Kerr.  Thank you!

"This is Puragtory Road, a small farm access road off Orange CR-8/Sarah Wells Trail around Campbell Hall."  Thank you to Chris Wilson via Doug Kerr for the photo!

"Orange County Old School Signs found in Middletown. "  - C.C. Slater via web site.

"Signs at the state line on NJ 23/Orange County 15. OrCo 15 is about 1/3 mile long, by the way. "  - C.C. Slater via web site.

"Here's a nasty little monstrosity. Orange County is not known for using the standard pentagon-Using the diamond signs shown on my earlier pages, for the most part. Apparently, the diamonds are on the way out, to be replaced by *gag* these. Orange County DPW is responsible for this travesty-it dates from 4-2001 I know of at least 7 of these nasties. I haven't a clue how they came up with this, since Dutchess County seems to be able to field a standard pentagon. It looks like bargain bin clip art." - C.C. Slater via web site.

"...The OR CH 20 sine is unusual, because it's the *right* one, not a diamond or mutant pentagon.  It's an old NYS DOT sign, since it's hung on Z-bars that are affixed to the post, Rather than flush to the post as the diamond OR CH 27 marker is." - C.C. Slater via web site.
