Until the late 1980's, NY 415's southern terminus was at Baker St. in Corning. Baker St. carried NY 414 until this time when construction of the Corning Bypass (I-86/NY 17) split Baker St. into two parts (No overpass was built because of the terrain in the area). As a result, NY 414 was rerouted onto Centerway and NY 415 was extended two blocks from this intersection to its current terminus at Centerway. Photo taken by Mark Sinsabaugh on August 18, 2002.
