|South End: US 11 - Syracuse||North End: NY 104 - Oswego|
NY 57 was an eastern route between Oswego and Syracuse (NY 48 served and still serves as part of the western route between the two Central New York State cities). It was replaced by NY 481 and NY 370 for the most part in the early 1980s, but survives in almost its former entirety as Onondaga CR 57 Oswego CR 57. Personally, I would have kept the designation of NY 57 between NY 370 in Liverpool and NY 481 in Fulton.
The former southern terminus of NY 57 is now the current eastern terminus of NY 370 and is at US 11 in Syracuse. This is a little fuzzy because I am getting used to my new digital camera. Photo taken by Douglas Kerr on September 9, 2001.
The former northern terminus of NY 57 is now the current northern terminus of NY 481 and is at NY 104 in Oswego. Photo taken by Douglas Kerr on September 17, 2000.
